REPLACE STRESS WITH SUCCESS

As you walk the walk of faith and discipline yourself to seek possitive possibilities in every situation, you will still face such realities as sickness, separation from loved ones, and even death.

You can't escape the raw realities of life,
                                                          but you can shpe them!

Walk by faith

You either shape life's realities, or they ravage your mind until you're devastated with worry.

How can faith help you to dissolve life's anxieties?
Faith faces the worries and anxieties one at a time.

If you imagined all of the possible painful experiences you might encounter from birth until the end of your life all at once, you could not handle it.
A bridge cannot handle all the traffic that passes over it at one time. Bridges are designed to handle moving traffic.

So faith is designed to handle anxieties one at a time. If you are reading this post, deal with only your immediate pressures. Let tomorrow's wait until then.

                                                      Faith erases anxiety and worries.

By the time you've spaced your anxieties, you will have erased many of them! Many anxieties that remain can be erased by transferring them to the "man upstairs". Turn them over to God. I have learnt that He specialises in problems one is incapable of handling.

                                                            Faith replaces anxieties.

If anxieties and worries still remain after prayer, then faith replaces them.It says: I'll replace worry with work. I'll replace anxiety with ambition. I'll replace depression with new drive. I'll replace stress with success!

Do not worry. God is on guard.

Faith and I will win. To someone reading this post, don't give up the fight of faith. You are almost there. Peace unto you!

LOVE ME, NOT MY RACE

This post belongs to Shernell Pather, one of the journalism students at Midrand Graduate Institute. She has something to write about with regards to interracial relationships among students.  According to Henry Adams  "A teacher affects eternity, he can never tell where his influence stops". I am hoping that my encouragement would help her to do more writing, and perhaps she will find her own voice with time. Enjoy.

Shernell Pather

It is the personality that counts and not the appearance of a person. However, the colour of one’s skin can change that perspective when it comes to interracial relationships.

Society has different perspectives about interracial relationships especially when it occurs in high schools and universities, when one gets attracted to a person of a different race.

The older generation has different thoughts when it comes to relationships, they often encourage dating within the same race, and they expectthe younger generationto accept these thoughts as a kind of custom, but to most students in universities race is insignificant when it comes to matters of the heart.

Sample of interracial relationship

Some people believe that babies born from interracial relationshipsare likely to avoid genetic diseases arising from homozygous which is common with parents belonging to thesame race group. Among other reasons - interracial relationships wouldencourage people to not judgeone another.
The youth of today should have a broader mind set when it comes to relationships. They should be free to go into relationships with whoever they love regardless of their racial backgrounds.
Please feel free to comment with regards to your thoughts on interracial relationships.
Cheers!

PEACE: IT’S ALL IN THE WORD

Halleluyah folks! It's Sunday morning. Amen to God in heaven. I am suppose to be in church fellowshiping with other brethren in the presence of God. Clapping, dancing and praising Jehovah.

But for some reasons I decided to lay back on my couch and practise my hermeneutics skill by writing this post, after all, I was the best student in hermeneutics in 1997 when I was in the Bible school. Those were the good old days when my family thought I was going to be a pastor. Can you believe it!

Anyway, this morning I want you to know that when God gives His word, we know He will keep it (see Luke 21:33). His words is in fact a work already accomplished. It is known that in biblical times, the spoken word carried with it the same credibility as a legal written contract. Verbal oaths were binding agreements between two parties. In the speaking word, the work was literarilly accomplished.

This is still evident in the Middle East today. The common greeting, "Peace be with you," and "Peace be with you, also," is exchanged primarily among friends. For the speaking of the word, peace actually establishes peace.

In fact, should a disagreement break out between friends, or even news acquaintances, it is not uncommon for either party to ask for his "peace" back. The other person must return the peace with the phrase, " I give your peace back to you."

Unlike the peace of men, God has given us eternal peace in Jesus Christ (see Mattew 28:20). "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me" (John 14:1).

What is peace? Peace is the inner knowledge that your relationship with God is secure. It is the assurance that your sins are forgiven. Your life is clean and new through the shed blood of Jesus.

Peace - it's all in the word. And the Living Word is the person and work of Jesus Christ. Look to Him for peace with God and peace with others. He will never take His peace from us for He said,"My peace I give to you; not as the world gives" (John 14:27). God's eternal peace will bring us into a loving, lasting relationship with Him forever.

It does not matter what you are going through now, I pray the peace of God into your heart and His calm into your life. May God give you absolute peace from all your worries, and challenges. Amen.

GIVE GOD YOUR BURDENS

I am generally a happy person, but recently I have been so stressed and troubled in my body and soul. This was because I found out that someone I knew very well stabbed me in the back with words - yah! It was just words, but the words pierced through my soul and left me with a burden of anger, hatred and vengeance.

But this morning I have a different feelings, and it was a feeling of faith in God the most high. I realise that there is nothing that can happen to humans without the approval of God who resides 'upstairs' in heaven.

I came to my senses and renew my faith in God. In my present state of mind, faith is trusting that God will settle the accounts with those who have been unjust and unfair with me. The psalmist David wrote: " Cast your burden to the LORD, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righeous to be moved" (Ps. 55:22). No one travels the road of life without being affected by injustice at one time or another.

But the worst thing that can happen to you is to develop victimitis. Victimitis is carrying your grudge and nursing hurts. This only produces a whole new batch of emotional demons to torment your soul! Resentment, anger, self-pity, and even vengeance become a mixed-up recipe for messed-up feelings.

If you walk the walk of faith, there will be times when you'll be treated unfairly. At such times, you can be assured that God can handle the injustice a lot better than you can.

You have the faith that He'll settle the score in a way that will be helpul and not hurtful to everyone concerned. So don't carry the grudge like I did for many weeks, bury it. God knows how to pull the weed without killing the flowers!

I was reminded that God understands my opponents, adversaries, and enemies a lot better that I do. God knows how to turn an enemy, back-bitters and haters into a friend, too!

If you are reading this post, hang in there, your joy is near.

Stay blessed.
